Culture Recovery Fund part of the Government’s £1.57 billion package to protect the UK’s culture and heritage sectors from the economic impacts of Covid-19. Round Two now open, until 4 September.

Self Employed Income Support Scheme for those who are eligible, applications for the second and final grant are now open, until 18 October.
MAIA Freedom Fund for Black Artists bursaries of £500 for Black artists in the West Midlands, with no strings attached, no compulsory outcomes and no evaluation. Applications open until 31 August.

ArtFund - Small Project Grants: up to £10,000 for museums, galleries and other visual arts organisations to realise adventurous projects.

Heart of England - Doing Things Differently: grants of £3000 - £20,000 to enable organisations to change the way they deliver their work.

Severn Trent Community Fund for projects that help improve community wellbeing.

National Lottery Project Grants have reopened, with a budget of £59.8 million available until April 2021. ACE state that they have prioritised reopening this programme to help fund independent organisations, creative practitioners and freelancers as quickly as possible.

Dance Professionals Fund - Dancers' Hardship Fund: This ACE-supported fund has just opened, to support freelance dancers including those with portfolio careers, e.g. choreography, who whose work would normally include employment in the subsidised dance sector.

The Baring Foundation Arts & Mental Health Grants for organisations who focus solely on developing creative work with people, including children and young people, specifically living with mental health challenges. Apply by 18 August.

Coronavirus Community Support Fund: This new funding stream makes available £200m in Government funding, aimed primarily at small to medium organisations in England.

Directors Charitable Foundation - Directors Support Scheme


Unlimited Commissions Disabled artists and companies can apply for awards totalling over half a million pounds to support the development of ambitious, boundary-breaking artistic work. Applications will open in October.

Black Lives Matter Language Commissions for Black creatives aged 16-30, from Beatfreeks, Slanguages & Don't Settle. No deadline, programme will continue until the money runs out.

Compton Verney - Expressions of interest for new live art programme, with commissions from £500 - £10,000 available. Apply by 30 August.

Shout Festival - Micro Commissions £200-£300 for queer theatre/performance makers and artists. Apply by 7 September.

Arts City Artist Opportunities List

Artquest - includes a range of opportunities and advice for visual artists

DESIblitz Arts is a dedicated online platform for up and coming creative writers, providing opportunities for new voices from within the British Asian community to be heard and seen. DESIblitz will host its online Digital Literary Festival for creative writers from the British Asian community in September. Commissions are available for poets, spoken word artists, and authors. Register here to find out more:
